Spaghetti
Dinner --- Saturday, March 20th, 4:30pm – 6:30pm
Please join us as we enjoy a delicious spaghetti
dinner prepared by the wonderful cooks here at Scottsville.
The proceeds from this fellowship fundraiser will go directly to help meet
the Scottsville budget. Sometimes you need a little help meeting
expenses. Scottsville is no exception.
To keep our expenses
minimal and profit up, a sign-up sheet will be posted in the Narthex
listing (donated) items needed for the dinner, volunteers, servers, and
of course kitchen crew. The sign-up sheet will be there for several
weeks.
Our Scottsville Chefs
will prepare a scrumptious all-you-can eat meal of spaghetti and
meatballs, salad, rolls, and homemade desserts. Coffee, tea, and cold
drinks are included.
The cost is only $8 for adults, $5 for children between the ages of four
and ten, and children three and under are free. Dine with family and
friends. How else would you want to spend an evening??
We hope to see you there!

Patriot Sunday, May 30th,
is fast approaching! As in the past, there will be only one service
at 10:00am with a luncheon immediately following.
The service will
include the dedication and blessing of the Prayer Garden.
We hope that everyone
who has purchased a memorial brick will attend. Scottsville’s members
and family members have been an integral part in making the Prayer
Garden a reality (sooner than expected).
Although the Gazebo is placed
and the pathway is in, the Prayer Garden will remain an ongoing
project. Memorial bricks are available for purchase, as blank bricks
will eventually be replaced with memorial bricks.
Fundraisers, like the
March Fisher’s Pot Pie sale, will be used to purchase shrubbery and
plants for the garden.
So mark your calendars
and join us on May 30th at 10:00am to celebrate the Prayer
Garden.

Georgeanne Toner

Prayer Garden Update
Our
Prayer Garden Walkway has been installed. We say
installed because the word “finished” has raised questions about whether
orders can still be placed for Memorial Bricks. At present, the
walkway has some designated Memorial Bricks and many blank bricks to
fill the spots. The walkway will not be completed until every blank has
been replaced with a designated Memorial Brick.
The Prayer Garden walkway is an ongoing
project. Many of the bricks used to complete the walkway are blank.
These have been installed, but can be replaced by Memorial bricks when
they are purchased and delivered. As bricks are purchased the blank
bricks will be replaced with the Memorial Bricks.
Also,
there is free shipping on any brick order of 25 or more. Depending on
how the orders come in, the order is on hold until we have over 25, so
that the church does not have to pay for shipping. This can be costly
due to weight. So you may not see your brick in place just yet. When
a shipment of bricks is placed in the walkway, we will make an
announcement at church, in the bulletin, on the website, and through the
email prayer chain, so that everyone will be notified.
Please come to walk the path to the Gazebo. Take time to sit and
reflect in the beautiful autumn days. Purchasing a brick is a
beautiful way to honor or remember a loved one, and it will be a lasting
tribute.
Fundraising will continue with brick purchases, and our upcoming Fisher
Pot Pies in March to help with landscaping costs in the spring. Anyone
who has a “green” thumb is welcome to help in the spring with planting
and landscaping. We do not have that gift!!!! Just give us a call.
We will gladly accept your help.
Thank
you for your support of the Prayer Garden with your prayers and
fundraising.
Joe and Georgeanne Toner
Checks and order forms can be mailed to
either the church (to the attention of Georgeanne Toner) or to our home
address: 339 Merle Way, Feasterville, PA., 19053.
