Prayer Garden Brick Order Form

Prayer Garden Update

Our Prayer Garden Walkway has been installed.   We say installed because the word “finished” has raised questions about whether orders can still be placed for Memorial Bricks.   At present, the walkway has some designated Memorial Bricks and many blank bricks to fill the spots.  The walkway will not be completed until every blank has been replaced with a designated Memorial Brick.

The Prayer Garden walkway is an ongoing project.   Many of the bricks used to complete the walkway are blank.   These have been installed, but can be replaced by Memorial bricks when they are purchased and delivered. As bricks are purchased the blank bricks will be replaced with the Memorial Bricks.

Also, there is free shipping on any brick order of 25 or more.   Depending on how the orders come in, the order is on hold until we have over 25, so that the church does not have to pay for shipping.   This can be costly due to weight.   So you may not see your brick in place just yet.   When a shipment of bricks is placed in the walkway, we will make an announcement at church, in the bulletin, on the website, and through the email prayer chain, so that everyone will be notified.

Please come to walk the path to the Gazebo.  Take time to sit and reflect in the beautiful autumn days.   Purchasing a brick is a beautiful way to honor or remember a loved one, and it will be a lasting tribute.

Fundraising will continue with brick purchases, and our upcoming Fisher Pot Pies in March to help with landscaping costs in the spring.  Anyone who has a “green” thumb is welcome to help in the spring with planting and landscaping.   We do not have that gift!!!!   Just give us a call.  We will gladly accept your help.

Thank you for your support of the Prayer Garden with your prayers and fundraising.

Scottsville’s Annual Picnic at Core Creek Park on Sunday, May 16, was a blast!  It began with worship under the pavilion, and continued with lunch and games, played by the young and young at heart.  The weather was perfect.  Nurture committee members did a wonderful job organizing this time of faith, fun, and fellowship.  Most of the 65 attendees participated in games such as: balloon toss, sack race, wacky clothes relay race, ring toss, and bean toss.  The picnic ended around 4:00 p.m.

If you weren’t able to join us, there’s always next year!  We’re confident

you’ll have a good time.
