Youth Education Programs

Scottsville UMC now offers a Senior High School Sunday School/Bible Study small group.

This group will be open to all 9th through 12th graders.

The group will meet during the Sunday School hour in the Youth Room.

The goal for the group will be “to grow our faith.”  We plan on using many different media to reach this goal.  It will not be a traditional learning environment.  We are planning this to be interactive on everyone’s part.  More discussion, less lecture.

The leaders will be John Wineburg and Patrice Matthews.

Please come on out and see if this class is for you.

Sunday School

Our Sunday School Classes run from 9:30am-10:30am.  We have a class for everyone.  Beginning with Pre-school up to our new “High School Class” for young teens in 9th through 12th grades.  We currently have two adult classes. Contact Georgeanne Toner or Bill Kent for specifics.

We’re Looking for a Few Good Adults!

Are you being called to work with kids?

Have you always wanted to help, but just weren’t sure how?

Well this could be the calling for you.  A place to share your gifts/talents with others.

The Scottsville Sunday School Program is in need of some adults to be assistant teachers.  With the Scottsville Safe Sanctuary policy, we are required to have 2 adults in each classroom weekly.  We currently have lead teachers in place.  We are seeking assistant teachers.

We need to fill the position in the 3rd/4th grade room alongside Laura Russo, and the 5th/6th grade room alongside Jeff Smith.

We are also seeking a lead teacher, and an assistant teacher for the 1st/2nd grade room.

Can you help?  Are you willing to share an hour per week with children?

This program needs your help to continuePlease consider and pray on it.

If God is calling you in this direction, please speak with Laura Russo, Laura Bittner or Patrice Matthews.
